you'll find another gallery with photos I shot at yet another radio station opening
I had been invited to attend. Just like "Antenne
Kaiserslautern" (which I wrote about here,
also sharing some photos from the opening event), this station is part of THE
RADIO GROUP and named "Radio
Pirmasens" after the town it's located in.
Since yesterday,
16:00, they're officially on air (UKW/FM 88.4 Mhz), playing mostly mainstream
music and also some nice songs from the 80s. Their news broadcasts focus on events
in and around Pirmasens, Germany.
Again, radio host and manager Eike
Knall is involved, same as director of programming Stefan
Blaufelder and THE RADIO GROUP CEO Stephan Schwenk.
Larry
Hawthorne was singing on (or rather in front of) a stage put up in the city's
pedestrian area. He's a great artist who puts a lot of emotion in his performance,
so don't miss to check out his songs.
Our conversation at the party afterwards
was very inspiring and the gallery includes photos of Larry's performance, as
well as shots of his producer speaking with the members of yet another band titled
eleVate,
who were there as well, but unfortunately couldn't perform cause the stage had
not been prepared for an acoustic performance. I'm listening to their songs playing
on their MySpace site linked above while I'm writing this - they're great! So
don't miss to check that one out, too.
