Künstler gegen Armut e.V. präsentiert "Das Längste Politische Gemälde der Welt": Artikel & Photos vom Event

Am 27. und 28. Juni fand ein Event des Fördervereins Künstler gegen Armut e.V. statt. Unter dem Titel "Das Längste Politische Gemälde der Welt" bemalte eine Gruppe von ca. 54 Künstler(inne)n in diesen zwei Tagen eine Leinwand in der Größe von 1m x 120m. Dabei wurden künstlerisch anspruchsvolle Aussagen zum Thema "Armut in Deutschland" umgesetzt.

Diese Veranstaltung fand im Freien - auf dem Anwesen des Initiators, Organisators unf Künstlers Frank Dengel - statt und war eingebunden in die Kulturtage Wiesbaden-Breckenheim. Viele an dem Event Interessierte besuchten an den beiden Tagen die Location um den aktiven Künstlern beim Malen zuzuschauen.

2/3 der Einnahmen dieses künstlerischen Charity-Events gehen an "upstairs - Straßenkinder in Wiesbaden" und 1/3 an die Aktion: "Ihnen leuchtet ein Licht"; beide Projekte helfen den Armen in der Region, in welcher das Event stattfindet.

Um mehr Aufmerksamkeit auf diese künstlerische wie wohltätige Unternehmung zu lenken, bewirbt sich die Aktion auch für einen Eintrag in das "Guinness-Buch der Rekorde".

Darüberhinaus wird das Gemälde auch bald auf Wanderausstellung in ganz Deutschland gehen. Zusätzlich spendete jede(r) Künstler(in) ein eigenes Werk, das für den guten Zweck versteigert werden wird.

Das Event war hervorragend organisiert, brachte viele bewundernswerte Werke hervor und brachte die Künstlergruppe noch enger zusammen, woraus neue künstlerische/wohltätige Projekte entstehen werden.

Es war mir eine große Ehre und Freude dabeisein zu dürfen, mitzumalen und so viele neue inspirierende, offene und brillante Menschen kennenzulernen!

The Artists Against Poverty Association presents "The World's Longest Political Painting": article & photos from the event

On June 27 and 28, the Förderverein Künstler gegen Armut e.V (Artists Against Poverty Association) organized an event titled "The World's Longest Political Painting". During these two days, a group of 54 artists painted on a canvas sized 1m x 120m and created sophisticated visual statements concerning the topic of "poverty in Germany".

This open-air event took place at the estate of initiator, organizer and artist Frank Dengel and was incorporated into the Days of Culture Wiesbaden-Breckenheim. Numerous people interested in the event visited the location during these two days and watched the involved artists paint.

2/3 of the revenue of this artistic charity event will go to to "upstairs - Straßenkinder in Wiesbaden" and 1/3 to the campaign "Ihnen leuchtet ein Licht"; both projects aid the poor in the region where the event takes place.

To draw more attention to this artistic as well as charitable event, the project has applied for inclusion in the "Guinness-Book of Records".

Moreover, the painting will soon go on a touring exhibition throughout Germany. Additionally, each artist donated a work of his/her own which will be auctioned off for the good cause.

The event was extraordinarily well organized, brought forth a lot of admirable works and the artists' group even closer together, which will result in new artistic/charitable projects.

It has been a great honor and pleasure for me to have been part of this event, join the painting and get to know so many new inspiring, open-minded and brillant people!
