The artist derived inspiration from intense life
experiences prior to and during the creation period, including
depression and Near Death Experience.
A selection of the works was used to illustrate
Tony Caulfield's book Das
Buch des Wahns (The Book of Madness).
In 1999, Tony founded his first company Kirsticon
Enterprises, which was renamed to Art
& Design Company (ADC) in 2006, and received an award and
funding from ExTra!
(Existenzgründer-Training), an event by the University
of Kaiserslautern, for the Kirsticon Enterprises business
plan.
In 2000 Tony Caulfield (as Tony Kremp) was nominated
for the Rising Movie Talent Award given by AAA (Actors
And Arts) and German TV network Sat.1.
From 2002-2003 Tony Caulfield starred in Realmaker
Production's mystery/action thriller Accept
and Magicland Pictures' horror thriller Slayer.
In 2003, Tony had another leading role in Lee/Leroc's
Evil
Knights, a horror movie with mythical and parody elements
that combines a dark story with action sequences, special effects
and loving homages to horror film legends.
In 2005, Tony Caulfield starred as Professor
Hoden Langston in Dogma 2005 Productions' crime/comedy feature
Das
Geheimnis der Stählernen Holztür (The Mystery of the Steely
Wood Door) and played the Master of the Circle (Master
Narrator) in Lee/Leroc's horror/comedy feature Unbelievable
Terror.
Since 2004 Tony Caulfield has been co-producing
a double-CD album with English, German and French songs based
on the works of poet Arthur Rimbaud, titled Art
Rimbaud Project.
In 2007, Tony Caulfield published his second book,
a non-fiction book titled Du
mußt sühnen - Dokumentation eines psychologischen Mordversuchs
(You must expiate - Documentation of a psychological murder attempt).
In November 2007, Tony Caulfield founded Floracentric
Enterprises, a group currently including Art
& Design Company (ADC), the art label Tony
Caulfield, Eskapismus.com
and Horse
Resource.
The next reading
from the same book, together with the opening of a three-weeks-long
exhibition - this time including new paintings from the creation
period 2006-2009 - took place on April 4, 2009 at the Café23
in Kaiserslautern.
On May 30, 2009, another
single exhibition at the gallery fingerspitzundkunst started
with a vernissage. The works were on display until June 26.
27.-28.06.2009: Förderverein
Künstler gegen Armut e.V. (Artists Against Poverty Association)
presents The
World's Longest Political Painting. 54 artists, incl. Tony
Caulfield, paint on a canvas sized 1m x 120m and create visual
statements concerning the topic of "poverty in Germany".
04.-05.07.2009: Altstadtfest
Kaiserslautern. Tony paints live in front of the fingerspitzundkunst
gallery and takes part in the gallery's group exhibition.
23.08.2009: fingerspitzundkunst presents Art
& Barbecue at the Black & White Club, Kaiserslautern. Four
artists are painting a wall which borders on the club's outdoor
area: Caro Parsons, Sonja Blügel, Santiago Munoz Prado and Tony
Caulfield.
25.09.2009: Group
reading with Wiebke Kunert, Robert-C. Scheel, Uwe Kraus, Dr.
Rainar Nitzsche,... at Café23. Tony reads Die
Reise zu meiner Anima: Selbsterkenntnis und Neugeburt.
Currently, Tony is working on new art and design
projects, as well as on the preparation of upcoming exhibitions.
