Hier die Termine für kommende Events:
1) Vernissage/Lesung bei TAILOR & PARTNER
Meine nächste Vernissage und Lesung findet am 17.09.2010, ab 19:30
Uhr, in den Räumlichkeiten der unlängst von Raik Schneider in
Kaiserslautern eröffneten Werbeagentur TAILOR
& PARTNER statt.
Gezeigt werden überwiegend neuere Werke aus der Schaffensperiode
2008-2010 (Acryl auf Leinwand).
Am Abend der Vernissage lese ich unter dem Titel "shortkatz" einige
kurze, lustige Satiretexte.
Anschließend wird die Werbeagentur vom 20.09. 13.10. jeweils
am Montag, Dienstag und Mittwoch von 13.00 - 17.00 Uhr für Ausstellungsbesucher
geöffnet sein.
Die Bilder können während dieses Zeitraumes sowie am Abend der
Vernissage käuflich erworben werden. 30% der Verkaufserlöse kommen
der Charity-Organisation KuBus zugute.
KuBus
wurde von Jürgen Hener und Partnern gegründet um die Möglichkeit
zu schaffen, kulturelle und wohltätige Projekte aktiv zu unterstützen.
Offizielle Info (Auszug): "KuBus steht für die Vernetzung von
Kunst, Kultur und Business in Verbindung mit sozialem Engagement.
Unser Focus richtet sich auf soziale Projekte und Einrichtungen,
Künstler, Vereine und kulturelle Veranstaltungen. Besonderes Augenmerk
gilt allen, denen es nicht vergönnt ist am kulturellen Leben teilzunehmen.
Weitere Schwerpunkte unserer Aktivitäten liegen bei der Förderung
von Kindern, Jugendlichen und Nachwuchstalenten. Planung und Umsetzung
von Veranstaltungen der genannten Personengruppen sowie die Realisierung
eigener Events gehören ebenfalls zu unserem Repertoire. Wir helfen,
wir fördern, wir unterstützen - und dabei liegt uns besonders
die Nachhaltigkeit am Herzen."
Am 16.10.2010, ab 17:00 Uhr, findet eine weitere Vernissage im
Café Unterhammer
statt.
Die Ausstellung trägt den Titel "Otherworlds". Gezeigt werden
neuere meiner Gemälde (Acryl auf Leinwand) und älterer Werke (Schaffensperioden
1997-2000 und 2006).
Die Bilder werden bis Januar 2011 im Unterhammer zu sehen sein.
Der Eintritt ist frei.

Am 02.09.2010 veröffentlichte die Tageszeitung Die
Rheinpfalz einen Artikel (geschrieben von Redakteurin und
Photographin Isabelle Girard de Soucanton) über die Kunstschaffenden
der Region Kaiserslautern. Auch meine kommenden Events wurden
dabei erwähnt.

mir eine große Freude und Ehre die allererste vom Hermann's veranstaltete
Autorenlesung machen zu dürfen!

Hallo alle!
1) Lesungen im Atelier fingerspitzundkunst
Während der "Langen Nacht der Kultur" finden im Atelier fingerspitzundkunst
(Steinstr. 34, 67657 Kaiserslautern) drei Autorenlesungen statt.
Am 26.06., ab 18:00 Uhr, liest Autor Axel Hadulla; danach, ab
21:00 Uhr, lese ich unter dem Titel "Shortkatz" einige kurze,
lustige Texte.
Am 27.06., ab 16:00 Uhr, liest Autor Uwe
Kraus Auszüge aus seinen Lyrikbänden, begleitet auf der Gitarre
von Musiker Björn Ziebuhr.
Der Eintritt für alle Lesungen ist frei.
2) Tony Caulfield liest im Hermann's
Am 16.07.2010 findet im "Hermann's
- resto bar cafe" zum ersten Mal eine Lesung statt. Ich lese
meinen neuen Kurzroman "Der Fluch und Niedergang des Hauses Voltar:
Die Abessinischen Greuel", ein Horror-Krimi welcher für Torsten
Scheibs bald erscheinende Anthologie "Casus Belli" geschrieben
wurde.
Am Abend der Lesung sind noch immer auch einige meiner Gemälde
im Hermann's zu sehen und käuflich zu erwerben, sowie meine Bücher.
30% der Verkaufserlöse aller Bilder kommen der Kinderstation des
Westpfalz-Klinikum zugute.
Die Ausstellung läuft noch bis zum 17. Juli.
Beginn der Lesung: 20:00 Uhr. Der Eintritt ist frei.
Location: Rummelstr. 7, 67655 Kaiserslautern.

"Voltar"-Lesung - Promo Text (Langversion):
Hermann's - resto bar cafe präsentiert eine Horror-Krimi Lesung
des berüchtigten Autors Tony Caulfield.
Das Fragment einer gar erschröcklichen Legende:
"DER FLUCH UND NIEDERGANG DES HAUSES VOLTAR: DIE ABESSINISCHEN
GREUEL"
Abessinien, im Oktober des Jahres 1935.
Die höchstattraktive Frau Dr. Cuja Thujon und ihr neunjähriges
Töchterchen Sophie irren durch die Straßen Harars. Gestern noch
waren sie verzweifelt auf der Suche nach Cujas Ehemann und Sophies
Papá gewesen, der kurz nach ihrer Ankunft unter wahnhaften Anschuldigungen
gegen seine ihn liebende Frau verschwunden war. Heute kämpft Cuja
um das Leben ihrer Tochter. Der Krieg ist ausgebrochen!
Überall ist von an Harar heranrückenden faschistischen Truppen
die Rede. Man spricht von Luftangriffen, unter Einsatz einer menschenverachtenden
Waffe.
Doch nicht genug der Schrecken:
Auf ihrer Suche nach einem Weg das Land zu verlassen geraten unsere
beiden Heldinnen auf die Spur eines wahnsinnigen Mörders, der
seine Opfer grausamst zu Tode foltert.
Können die wunderschöne Kimera und ihr Bruder Janus, welche in
humanitärer Mission in Abessinien weilen, Cuja und die kleine
Sophie vor dem Monster schützen, das bereits ihre Spur aufgenommen
hat?
Ist dieser geisteskranke Schlächter - augenscheinlich getrieben
von dem mörderischen Wahn, eine ominöse "Legende vom Fluch und
Niedergang des Hauses Voltar" zwänge ihn zu seinen Greueltaten
- gar Urheber der Intrigen welche allumher die Grausamkeit des
Krieges ins Unermeßliche steigern?
Oder ist am Ende...
...alles anders als es erscheint?

During the "Lange Nacht der Kultur" ("Long Night of Culture")
three authors' readings will take place at the art studio fingerspitzundkunst
(Steinstr. 34, 67657 Kaiserslautern).
On June 26, starting 18:00, writer Axel Hadulla will read; following
him, starting 21:00, I will do a reading titled "shortkatz", consisting
of a few short, funny texts.
On June 27, starting 16:00, writer Uwe
Kraus will read excerpts from his lyric poetry books, accompanied
with the guitar by musician Björn Ziebuhr.
The entrance for all readings is free.
2) Tony Caulfield reads at Hermann's
On July 16, a reading will take place for the first time at "Hermann's
- resto bar cafe". I will read my new short novel "Der Fluch
und Niedergang des Hauses Voltar: Die Abessinischen Greuel" ("The
Curse and Fall of the House of Voltar: The Abyssinian Atrocities"),
a story written for Torsten
Scheib's anthology "Casus Belli".
On the evening of the reading, some of my paintings
are still exhibited at the Hermann's and can be purchased, as
well as my books. 30pc of the revenue of all paintings will go
to the children's medical unit of the Westpfalz Clinical Center.
The paintings are on display until July 17.
Start of the reading: 20:00. The entrance is free.

Hallo alle!
Am Abend des 01.06.2010 veranstaltete der in Kaiserslautern ansässige
Kunst- und Kulturverein Kultur.Kollektiv
e.V. im Benderhof (Richard-Wagner-Str. 74, 67655 Kaiserslautern)
einen weiteren Poetry Slam.
Zehn Autor(inn)en lasen in zuvor ausgeloster Reihenfolge ihre
Texte von maximal sieben Minuten Länge. Die Beiträge waren sehr
abwechslungsreich - tiefgehend, berührend, lustig, sehr unterhaltsam
und gut vorgetragen.
Dazu ein sehr inspirierendes Ambiente im Benderhof und eine super
Stimmung beim Publikum, welches schließlich per schriftlicher
Abstimmung die Favoriten des Abends wählte. Den verdienten ersten
Platz belegte Tabea Reinelt. Gratulation, Tabea!
Dank gebührt den aktiven Mitgliedern des Kultur.Kollektiv für
die wieder einmal hervorragende Organisation des Events.

On the eve of July 1, 2010, the Kaiserslautern-based art and culture
club Kultur.Kollektiv
e.V. presented another poetry slam at the pub Benderhof (Richard-Wagner-Str.
74, 67655 Kaiserslautern).
Ten writers - in previously allotted order - read their texts
of seven minutes max. length. The contributions were very diversified
- deep, touching, funny, very entertaining and well performed.
Plus a very inspiring ambience at the Benderhof and a good-humored
audience, which finally voted for their favorite contestant. The
well-deserving winner was Tabea Reinelt. Congrats, Tabea!
Thanks to the active members of the Kultur.Kollektiv for the once
more excellent organization of the event.

am 31.01.2010 bei einer Vernissage
im KUNSTATELIER
FORMA:T (Brühlerstr. 1b, 50968, Köln) vorgetragen
habe. Dieser Text wurde bislang noch nie in Lautern gelesen.

This time, I will be part of the event, once again, and read the
(German language) comedy text "Die Sieben Todsünden im Leben
des gemeinen Künstlers", which I performed on January 31,
2010 in the course of a vernissage
at the KUNSTATELIER

Am 09.04.2010, ab 20:00 Uhr, fand im Restaurant Hermann's
(Rummelstr. 7, 67655 Kaiserslautern) zum 5. Mal das Kunstevent
"Late Night Art" statt.
Die Vernissage mit dem Titel "Otherworlds/Anderwelten" präsentierte
neuere und ältere meiner Werke
(Malerei).
Die Bilder werden wie gewohnt drei Monate lang im Hermann's ausgestellt
und käuflich zu erwerben sein.
Gemäß dem altbewährten Motto "Kunst für einen guten Zweck" kommen
30% der Verkaufserlöse der Kinderstation des Westpfalz-Klinikum
zugute.
Journalist Andreas Fillibeck hat einen Artikel
über die Ausstellung verfaßt, basierend auf einem kurzen Interview
mit mir am Abend der Vernissage, sowie auf eigenen Betrachtungen;
veröffentlicht in der Tageszeitung Die
Rheinpfalz, am 15.04.2010. Das den Artikel begleitende Photo
wurde geschossen von Isabelle Girard de Soucanton.
Dieser Artikel, sowie einen weiteren Text veröffentlicht

Im Zusammenhang mit meiner unten angekündigten Vernissage
im Rahmen der "Late Night Art" (am 09.04.2010, ab 20:00 Uhr, im
Restaurant Hermann's)
veröffentlichte die April-Ausgabe der Zeitschrift Pavillon

Hermann´s
Maler, Schauspieler, Sänger, Autor und Designer - Tony Caulfield
sprüht nur so vor Kreativität. Seine Bilder, die ab 9. April im
Hermann´s in der Reihe Late Night Art ausgestellt werden, wirken
verstörend und faszinierend zugleich.
Ihre Titel lauten u.a. "Trying
to burn the trauma", "Escaping
tech terror" und "Daydreamer
opening the otherworld". Die Inspiration für seine Werke bezog
der Künstler aus intensiven Lebenserfahrungen vor und während
der Schaffensperiode, inklusive Depressionen und Nah-Tod-Erfahrung.
Die Bilder zeugen von diesen extremen Gemütszuständen Tony Caulfields
und machen sie für den Betrachter fast greifbar - man mag den
Blick kaum abwenden.

As mentioned below, the eve of March 4, 2010 marked the opening
night of a series of artistic/cultural events titled "Lauterns
neuer Feier-Abend" at the lounge twenty
one inside the city hall of Kaiserslautern. Shows like this
one are planned to take place every Thursday from that day on.

Sehr kurzfristig bekam ich das Angebot eine Lesung und "Kurzvernissage"
(ein Tag) zu machen. Heute (04.03.2010) werde ich in der Lounge
twenty one
im Rathaus von Kaiserslautern (Willy-Brandt-Platz 1, 67657 KL)
zwei kleine Texte lesen und einige neuere Gemälde (Acryl auf Leinwand)
ausstellen.
Darüberhinaus werden ein Illusionist, ein Bauchredner und eine
Bauchtänzerin auftreten. Dies ist die Premiere einer Reihe von
Veranstaltungen mit dem Titel "Lauterns neuer Feier-Abend", welche
von nun an jeden Donnerstag stattfinden sollen.
Start: 19:30. Der Eintritt ist frei.
Für diesen Abend bietet das twenty one ein leckeres "3-Gang-Surprise-Menue"
für nur 21,90€ an.
Wer in der Gegend ist und spontan Zeit und Lust hat dabeizusein
ist herzlich willkommen.

On short notice I was offered to do a reading and "short vernissage"
(one day). Today (March 4, 2010), I will read two short texts
at the lounge twenty
one inside the city hall of Kaiserslautern (Willy-Brandt-Platz
1, 67657 KL) and exhibit some of my more recent paintings (acrylic
on canvas).
Moreover, an illusionist, a ventriloquist and a belly dancer will
perform. This is the opening night of a series of events titled
"Lauterns neuer Feier-Abend", which are planned to take place
every Thursday from this day on.
Start: 19:30. The entrance is free.
For this evening, the twenty one offers a delicious "3-Course-Surprise-Menue"
for only 21,90€.

Fluch und Niedergang des Hauses Voltar: Die Abessinischen Greuel.
Die Ausstellung wird bis zum 28.02. laufen. Auch eines meiner

excerpt from my new, yet unpublished short novel Der
Fluch und Niedergang des Hauses Voltar: Die Abessinischen Greuel
("The Curse and Fall of the House of Voltar: The Abyssinian Atrocities").

Hallo alle!
Eine Nachbetrachtung der Lesung von Manuel Sedó Y Hartel und mir,
welche am 23.01.2010 im Café23
stattgefunden hat, ist nun online,...wie auch viele schöne
Photos von dem Event. An diesem Abend eröffnete im Café23
auch meine erste Ausstellung für dieses Jahr. Die teils neuen
Werke (Malerei
/ überwiegend Acryl auf Leinwand) sind noch bis zum 20.02. im
Café23 zu sehen.
A review of the reading by Manuel Sedó Y Hartel and myself, which
took place on January 23 at Café23,
is now online,...as well as many nice photos from the event. That
same evening, my first exhibition for 2010 opened with a vernissage.
The works include some new paintings

Gemälden auch Werke anderer Künstler(innen) aus aller
Welt ausstellt.

Ein paar Auszüge aus dieser Geschichte habe ich gestern im Studio
des lokalen Radiosenders Antenne
Kaiserslautern (FM 96.9) gelesen. Die Aufzeichnung wird dieses
Jahr am Halloween-Abend ab 18:00 Uhr gesendet.
Auf der oben verlinkten Website des Senders ist auch ein Live
Stream verfügbar, über den Ihr das Programm online hören
könnt.
"DER FLUCH UND NIEDERGANG DES HAUSES VOLTAR: DIE ABESSINISCHEN
GREUEL"
Abessinien, im Oktober des Jahres 1935.
Die höchstattraktive Frau Dr. Cuja Thujon und ihr neunjähriges
Töchterchen Sophie irren durch die Straßen Harars. Gestern noch
waren sie verzweifelt auf der Suche nach Cujas Ehemann und Sophies
Papá gewesen, der kurz nach ihrer Ankunft unter wahnhaften Anschuldigungen
gegen seine ihn liebende Frau verschwunden war. Heute kämpft Cuja
um das Leben ihrer Tochter. Der Krieg ist ausgebrochen!
Überall ist von an Harar heranrückenden faschistischen Truppen
die Rede. Man spricht von Luftangriffen, unter Einsatz einer menschenverachtenden
Waffe.
Doch nicht genug der Schrecken:
Auf ihrer Suche nach einem Weg das Land zu verlassen geraten unsere
beiden Heldinnen auf die Spur eines wahnsinnigen Mörders, der
seine Opfer grausamst zu Tode foltert.
Können die wunderschöne Kimera und ihr Bruder Janus, welche in
humanitärer Mission in Abessinien weilen, Cuja und die kleine
Sophie vor dem Monster schützen, das bereits ihre Spur aufgenommen
hat?
Ist dieser geisteskranke Schlächter - augenscheinlich getrieben
von dem mörderischen Wahn, eine ominöse "Legende vom Fluch und
Niedergang des Hauses Voltar" zwänge ihn zu seinen Greueltaten
- gar Urheber der Intrigen welche allumher die Grausamkeit des
Krieges ins Unermeßliche steigern?
Oder ist am Ende...
...alles anders als es erscheint?

On June 27 and 28, the Förderverein
Künstler gegen Armut e.V (Artists Against Poverty Association)
organized an event titled "The World's Longest Political Painting".
During these two days, a group of 54 artists painted on a canvas
sized 1m x 120m and created sophisticated visual statements concerning
the topic of "poverty in Germany".

Vom 03. bis 05. Juli 2009 findet in Kaiserslautern das alljährliche
"Altstadtfest" statt. Im Rahmen dieses Events feiert die Galerie
fingerspitzundkunst
(Steinstr. 34, 67657 Kaiserslautern) auch ihr einjähriges Bestehen
mit einer drei Tage laufenden Vernissage und inspirierendem wie
unterhaltendem Programm.
Ca. 30 Künstler(innen) der Galerie stellen jeweils eines ihrer
Werke (Bilder und Skulpturen) aus. Am Samstag (04.07.) Abend wird
der Sänger, Musiker und Komponist Manuel Sedo Hartel live einige

Art at the "Altstadtfest" in Kaiserslautern"
Hi all!
From July 3 to July 5 the annual "Altstadtfest"-event will take
place in Kaiserslautern, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. In the
course of this event, the art gallery fingerspitzundkunst
will celebrate its first anniversary with a three-days long vernissage
and an inspiring as well as entertaining program.
About 30 of the gallery's artists will exhibit one of their works
(paintings and sculptures) each. On Saturday (04.07.) evening,
the singer, musician and composer Manuel Sedo Hartel will perform
some of his epoch-making self-composed songs live in front of
the gallery.
The group exhibition following the event will run until July 31st.
I'm exhibiting as well.

Kunstevent: "Das Längste Politische Gemälde der Welt"
Hallo alle!
Am 27. und 28. Juni findet ein Event des Fördervereins "Künstler
gegen Armut e.V." statt. Unter dem Titel "Das Längste Politische
Gemälde der Welt" bemalt eine Gruppe von ca. 100 Künstler(inne)n
in diesen zwei Tagen eine Leinwand in der Größe von 1m x 120m.
Dabei sollen künstlerisch anspruchsvolle Aussagen zum Thema "Armut
in Deutschland" umgesetzt werden.
Diese Veranstaltung findet im Freien statt und ist eingebunden
in die Kulturtage Wiesbaden-Breckenheim. Besucher(innen) sind
herzlich willkommen und können den aktiven Künstlern an beiden
Tagen beim Malen zuschauen.
2/3 der Einnahmen dieses künstlerischen Charity-Events gehen an
"upstairs - Straßenkinder in Wiesbaden" und 1/3 an die Aktion:
"Ihnen leuchtet ein Licht"; beide Projekte helfen den Armen in
der Region, in welcher das Event stattfindet.
Um mehr Aufmerksamkeit auf diese künstlerische wie wohltätige
Unternehmung zu lenken, bewirbt sich die Aktion auch für einen
Eintrag in das "Guinness-Buch der Rekorde".

event, the project has applied for inclusion in the "Guinness-Book
of Records".

(Steinstr. 34, 67657 Kaiserslautern) anläßlich der
in Kaiserslautern stattfindenden "Langen Nacht der Kultur"
von 17:00-22:00 Uhr geöffnet.
Eine Auswahl meiner Bilder (incl. der neuen) ist dort noch bis
zum 26.06. ausgestellt.
Ich werde morgen in der Galerie anwesend sein.

R.I.P. Helmut "Helle" Halfmann
Der Autor, Storyteller, Verleger, Musiker, Kinogründer,
Programmierer und Webkünstler, Koch,... Helmut "Helle" Halfmann
(*1958) ist am Samstag, den 18.04.2009, im Krankenhaus Landstuhl
(bei Kaiserslautern) verstorben.
In der Tageszeitung Die
Rheinpfalz stand kürzlich ein sehr schöner Artikel (von

meine Lesung und Vernissage im Café23

Hi all!
Once more, I'd like to recommend an event I wasn't involved in
but thoroughly enjoyed. A photography/poetry vernissage by photographer
Uli Wenzel and poet Sabine Rauber-Thielen, who are also running
a casting/modeling agency named baujahr68.
The vernissage took place at a nice location in Kaiserslautern,
Restaurant
Hermann's; the works will be on display there until about
three months from now...so you can still go and see them if you
like.
Artist Jürgen
Gamber enriched the event by doing one of his bodypainting
sessions, using an airbrush to paint one of the photo's motives
onto the body of a young lady.
Please note that this is also a charity event: 30pc of each sold
work will be donated to a children's home!

In Memoriam Gerhard Rieder,

Manche Erinnerungen an die Schulzeit verblassen
über die Jahre. Viele Ereignisse, Gespräche, Gesichter, gute Noten
und verhauene Klassenarbeiten gehen in der Fülle der Gedanken
an lang vergangene Jahre unter und ziehen sich zuweilen ganz in
die Vergessenheit zurück.
Dann gibt es solche kleinen Szenen, die sich im Langzeitgedächtnis
festgeklammert haben und hin und wieder mal, ganz unvermittelt,
auf die Leinwand des bewußten Erinnerns herüberstrahlen.
Es ist nun ein paar Stunden her, seit ich von dem Tode einer unserer
ehemaligen Lateinlehrer erfahren habe. Und meine Erinnerung projeziert
eine dieser unvergessenen Szenen nach der anderen. Ich kann sie
nicht sehr gut beschreiben. Vielleicht sind sie nur bedeutend
und lustig für diejenigen, die selbst dabeigewesen waren und haben
für andere den Hauch einer Banalität, der ich diese Erinnerungen
nicht aussetzen möchte. Daher verlinke ich hier einen Dylan Song,
gesungen von Herrn Rieders damaliger "Lieblingsband" The Hollies,
welchen er uns mal in einer Vorferien-Lateinstunde auf Latein
singen gelassen hatte.
Man stelle sich dazu einen von uns mitunter doch sehr geplagten
dennoch gutmütig gestimmten Lehrer vor, der sich während eines
Klassenausfluges in eine Weinheimer Jugendherberge kurz vor Schlafenszeit
die Sammlung sich damals großer Beliebtheit erfreuenden "Butterfly"-
und anderer Messer eines Haufens heranwachsender Achtklässler(innen)
auf die Arme laden läßt und sich dann mit dem Kommentar "wenn
das jemand sieht werd' ich verhaftet" in sein Zimmer zurückzieht,
um eine Stunde später nochmal die Jungs zur Nachtruhe zu mahnen
und kurz darauf - den Satz "Jetzt fangen die do obbe widder an"
stöhnend - die Treppen zum Schlafraum der Mädchen hochzuschlurfen.
Er hatte noch Jahre nach meiner Schulzeit eine Figur in einer
meiner Geschichten inspiriert, und von allen Lehrern des "Rittersberggymasiums"
war er der letzte gewesen, den ich kurz vor meinem Verlassen dieser
Schule nocheinmal kurz zu Gesicht bekommen hatte.
"Bist du noch da?", fragte er mich etwas verwundert, als er mich
in unserem leeren "Lateinsaal" vorgefunden hatte, wo ich noch
ein letztes Mal die Zeichnung eines Beutelwolfes auf dem Tisch
einer Mitschülerin betrachten wollte.
Ja, ich war noch da gewesen. Traurig, daß er es nun nicht mehr
ist...außer in der Erinnerung. Und, ja, auch von seinem Lateinunterricht
ist etwas hängengeblieben.
Übersetze: "Venti laus amoris, nem se, pax se, caput isse."

The Halloween card goes out a bit earlier this year to let you
know that I will read a few lines from my first book "Das
Buch des Wahns" (The Book of Madness) in the "Morning Show"
of the radio station Antenne
Kaiserslautern, starting at 8:00 on Halloween (31.10.).
If you're interested and happen to be within the transmission

On Halloween (Friday, 31. October 2008) the art gallery fingerspitzundkunst
organizes an author reading fitting for that day.
I'll be reading a story from my first book "Das
Buch des Wahns" (The Book of Madness), a collection of horror
stories.
Admission is at 19:00. The reading will start around 19:30.
There will be a break during which we can relax and chat, just
like after the reading.
The book can be purchased that evening and I'll sign it for you
on request.
Moreover, old and newer ones of my paintings
will be exhibited; among them some of those "Das Buch des Wahns"
is illustrated with. The paintings are also for sale.
From now on, fingerspitzundkunst is selling tickets at the price
of € 5 each (incl. sparkling wine) at the address given below.
There's space for 30 people per reading. If more are interested,
the reading will be repeated the following day. Please don't wait
too long with buying the tickets, so we can plan.
The gallery has decided that only people at age 18 or above will
be admitted. (After all the "Buch des Wahns" consists of horror
stories containing elements from the subgenre "splatterpunk".)

launched.
The term Join-Up, coined by "horse whisperer"
and bestselling author Monty
Roberts, describes the voluntary act by which a horse approaches
a fellow member of its species or a human, thereby signaling submission.
Join-Up Team teaches the nuts and bolts of using the Join-Up method.
In our seminars you'll learn to communicate with horses appropriate
to the species and therefore effectively.
The website and the Join-Up Team's corporate design have been
developed by Art

A new version of the popular online forum "FRanz Magnus WOHLFÜEHL
ECKE", being part of the German-language spoof/comedy website
frnz.de, went
back online on June 6, over a month after the forum provider had
gone out of business and closed all forums.
As Frnzfans, we're very happy about the launch of the new "FRANZ
WOHLFÜEHLECKE" and perceive our own forum not as a competitor
but merely as another lawn for fun grazing.

We've published another gallery with photos I shot
at yet another radio station opening I had been invited to attend.
Just like "Antenne
Kaiserslautern" (which I wrote about here),
this station is part of THE
RADIO GROUP and named "Radio
Pirmasens" after the town it's located in.
Since yesterday, 16:00, they're officially on air (UKW/FM 88.4
Mhz), playing mostly mainstream music and also some nice songs
from the 80s. Their news broadcasts focus on events in and around
Pirmasens, Germany.
Again, there were some great artists around, such as singer Larry
Hawthorne and the band eleVate.

Do you like radio? A new radio station opened today
in Kaiserslautern, Germany. It's appropriately titled "Antenne
Kaiserslautern". Since today, 12:00, they're officially on
air (UKW/FM 96.9 Mhz).
I'm not involved in this company or its promotion. Just got invited
to the opening and thought it would be a nice idea to share some
of the photos I shot there.
Quite fitting for an artist's website, since there were - naturally
- many artists and other creative people around, not all of them
being radio hosts/managers, singers and musicians but also actors,
TV-hosts, and of course photographers, journalists, etc.
One member of the band DODS
("Die Onanie des Schicksals" - "The Onanism of Fate"), which was
playing the first song at the event (on a balcony facing the people
watching from down there on the city streets), turned out to be
a former class mate of mine, Dane. Nice to have met him again.

On April 30., 2008, the popular online forum "FRanz Magnus
WOHLFÜEHL ECKE" (an intentionally mistyped name meaning:
"Franz Magnus feel-well-corner"), being part of the
German-language spoof/comedy website of the amiable fictional
character Franz Magnus
(frnz.de - "Franz
ist im Internet"), went offline.
The reason for that is the closure of forum provider Parsimony,
which had been hosting the "FRanz Magnus WOHLFÜEHL ECKE".
For many years, the "feel-well-corner" of our beloved
Franz or "Frnz"
had been an abode of creativity, (often frnz-format oriented)
comedy and once in a while also a place of more serious discussions
with a philosophical, psychological or sociological touch.
With the deletion of this forum, that had been populated by a
lot of funny, creative and interesting personalities, a piece
of internet history that had grown dear to many, has...well, become
just that: history. And some might already say: legend!
In an attempt to reunite the strong "Frnz community"
of board regulars on a substitute forum, I have - being a self-confessed
Frnz fan - included an alternative
"WOHLFÜEHL ECKE" in our web project ESKAPISMUS.COM,
on 02.05.2008.
Just as the original "Wohlfüehl Ecke", this new
Forum
will adhere - as much as possible - to the principle of "verbal
Anarchy": EVERYBODY may write! A registration/login, the
use of merely one or ones "real" name, providing a valid
e-mail address, etc... is not required.
It's that kind of anonymity which makes it somewhat difficult
to get the former contributors of the now completely erased original
"FRanz Magnus WOHLFÜEHL ECKE" together again, since
the largest number of these contributors had not been connected
outside the forum and their "actual" names are unknown.
We hope that former "FRanz Magnus WOHLFÜEHL ECKE" guests
will find the "WOHLFÜEHL-ECKE-substitute"
via this site respectively via google or the Parsimony forums
search engine, so that the Frnz-community
will not be lost forever in the infinite space of the internet.

Filmworkshop went offline without warning or further explanation.

Yesterday, I've been to a concert given by the
now 145-year old church choir of Otterbach which my Mom - an alto
- is part of, in ensemble with the women's choir of the Emmerich
Smola music academy and several external artists. It took place
in Otterbach's beautiful 1889 built church Mariae Himmelfahrt
and was sold out.
I had the pleasure and privilege to sit in the front row and enjoy
an awesome performance by everyone involved. I especially recommend
the brilliant work of a young harpist, Sylvia
Schäfer who's doing frequent concerts in the Rhineland-Palatinate
and Hesse area. Go check them out if you're around.

We've created a news
archive, where you can look up the news from the past. ADC
best friend and family member to one of my best friends and blood
sister. That's who you were...and still are, will always be.
We call you Tiffy, Dearweiler, Endive,... It's being said, in
jest, that you had cuddled to death quite a few. You were never
too heavy for those on whose lap you used to lie, already well
advanced in years, for a good friend is never a burden.
You were scared of snails, were at the "Schmitzekatze"'s disposal
as a fluffy sandbag for karate practice, prefered to rather walk
away ten times when someone a quarter of your physical size barked
at you or teased you, ere you could once bring yourself to act
in defense, more in terms of a gesture than with the intent to
harm.
But one day, as a (cooking-) pot salesman had intruded your family's
former, then always unlocked home, five seconds later they found
the pots scattered all over the floor and a very self-absorbed
man outside the entrance, just about to drive off without his
pots and pans. Had you been cognizant of the fact that the man
had simply acted stupid but not maliciously, it would have made
you happy to know that Judith had given him back his merchandise
in spite of his trespassing.

We've overhauled the Tony
Caulfield Gallery slideshow. Since the number of users provided
with high-speed
internet connections has significantly increased, the slideshow
now displays larger and sharper images than it used to.
And since Tony is currently working on new paintings, we have
also decreased the prices for his older works (creation period
1997-2000) to make room for the new ones. Now is the time to buy!

Time for an update. Expect me to succeed in finding
the adequate words to illuminate you on my current state (of mind
and affairs) and I prefer to fail. Since the beginning of 2006,
I have seen everything from long-dreaded infernal nightmares coming
true to sudden elysian dreams assuming the shape of reality.

Death Rose is a horror/mystery film project based on a
story by Dirk Woiciech and René Tiemann of Earth Evolution Picture.
We'll shoot in Germany but in English language and I'll play one
of the lead roles.
From 13.08-15.08.06 we've shot a promotional trailer for the yet-to-be-produced
movie which will be presented to potential investors to finance
the film.
The article introduces the main characters of Death Rose, outlines
the story and informs about the practice of using promotional
trailers to attract investors.

UVL Filmproduction International was a fraudulent company falsely
claiming to be co-owned by Keanu Reeves and having co-produced
movies such as The
Lake House, in order to cheat writers, actors and other folks
working within the film industry. Thanks to some friends of mine
that scam was obliterated.
I've merely helped to distribute the facts to protect fellow artists
from (further) harm and as a result have been contacted by people
from throughout Europe and the US, who have fallen victim to this
scam and are seeking further info. I hope this article helps to
answer some of your questions and contributes to keeping this
fraud as dead as it seems to be by now.

Hello and welcome to my official Website. After
having a mere "test page" online for a couple of years,
we finally launched a site with some more content.
What you see is far from being "complete" and it's never
going to be. It's a continuously growing project as we'll add
new content regularly, such as info about new film and book releases,
