Story

At the country estate of the late explosives expert Sir Siegfried von Braun, his last will is read to the bereaved.

The deceased bequeathed a riddle to the heirs (who don't quite love each other). Who solves the "Mystery of the Steely Wood Door" will be rewarded with "unmeasurable riches". The door is protected with explosives traps to prevent anybody from trying to break in and a cryptic sentence is the only hint to the whereabouts of the key.

During the following dinner the executor of the last will drops dead into his soup. Poison? As more people die it seems clear: a murderer roams the estate, which is surrounded by high walls and the only exit of which is suddenly locked up. Could it be the eccentric butler Klaus Kanski has something to do with the happenings?

*All dialogue in this movie was improvised onset! The actors merely received a rough plot and a list of character names before the shoot.
