I'm very happy to announce that, in April, the artist Hans-Jürgen Henner and I will do our first exhibition together. Our joint exhibition is titled "Henner-Caulfield: Human" and will open on April 15, 2011, with a vernissage, starting at 19:00. On display will be digiart & animation (Henner) and paintings (Caulfield).

Hallo alle!

Am Abend des 01.03.2011 veranstaltete der in Kaiserslautern ansässige Kunst- und Kulturverein Kultur.Kollektiv e.V. im Benderhof (Richard-Wagner-Str. 74, 67655 Kaiserslautern) einen weiteren Poetry Slam.

Zehn Autor(inn)en lasen in zuvor ausgeloster Reihenfolge ihre Texte von maximal sieben Minuten Länge. Es hat wieder einmal großen Spaß gemacht!

Dank gebührt abermals den aktiven Mitgliedern des Kultur.Kollektiv für die hervorragende Organisation.

Seit gestern ist ein Videomitschnitt des Poetry Slam online, auf dem offiziellen YouTube Channel des Kultur.Kollektiv.

ENGLISH VERSION

Hi all!

On the eve of March 1, 2011, the Kaiserslautern-based art and culture club Kultur.Kollektiv e.V. presented another poetry slam at the pub Benderhof (Richard-Wagner-Str. 74, 67655 Kaiserslautern).

Ten writers - in previously allotted order - read their texts of seven minutes max. length. Once again, the event was great fun!

As always, thanks to the active members of the Kultur.Kollektiv for the excellent organization of the slam.

Since the other day, a video taping of the poetry slam can be found online at the Kultur.Kollektiv's official YouTube Channel. Linked above (within the German version of this news text) are the videos of the contributions of each participant, in the order of their performances. (The texts are read in German language.)

Hallo alle!

Noch bis zum 04.03.2011 ist eine Auswahl meiner neueren Gemälde in der VR-Bank Pirmasens zu sehen.
Die Pirmasenser Zeitung (PZ) hat heute einen Artikel über die Ausstellung veröffentlicht; ein Scan davon ist auf der media page zu finden.

Des weiteren wurden viele der Photos neuerer Werke auf der art page gegen neue und bessere ausgetauscht. Die neuen Photos wurden von dem Photographen Uli Wenzel geschossen. Danke Uli! :-)

Ebenso ausgetauscht wurden die Photos im Tony Caulfield Kunstdrucke Shop, um für noch hochwertigere Druckergebnisse zu sorgen.

Until March 4, 2011, a selection of my newer paintings will be on display at the VR-Bank Pirmasens.
Today, the daily newspaper Pirmasenser Zeitung (PZ) published an article on the exhibition; you can find a scan of it on the media page.

Moreover, a lot of the photos of my more recent works displayed on the art page have been exchanged with new and better ones, shot by photographer Uli Wenzel. Thanks Uli! :-)

We also exchanged the photos in the Tony Caulfield Art Prints Shop, to guarantee even better print results.

On November 19, another one of my readings took place at the Unterhammer (Unterhammer 1-3, 67705 Trippstadt, near Kaiserslautern). I read my short novel "Der Fluch und Niedergang des Hauses Voltar: Die Abessinischen Greuel" ("The Curse and Fall of the House of Voltar: The Abyssinian Atrocities"), a horror thriller written for Torsten Scheib's recently published anthology Casus Belli.

Hallo alle!

Die oben zu sehende Photomontage habe ich Anfang 2007 im Rahmen meiner Firma ART & DESIGN COMPANY (ADC) angefertigt, als Teil der Illustrationen für einen Comedy Text (der leider nicht mehr online zu finden ist).

Wir haben gerade entdeckt, daß jemand einen Song als Tribut an diese Photomontage komponiert und ihn bei YouTube eingestellt hat. Resultat: Über 11 Millionen Views!

Offensichtlich mögen einige Leute die Idee, der Tiger könnte sich mit dem Zebra paaren. Ich hörte allerdings, das Zebra sei da anderer Meinung. ;-)

Hi all!

I did the photomontage seen above at the beginning of 2007, within the framework of my ART & DESIGN COMPANY (ADC), as part of the illustrations for a comedy text (which unfortunately can't be found online anymore).

We just discovered that somebody composed a song as a tribute to this photomontage and put it on YouTube. Result: Over 11 million views!

Obviously, some people like the idea of the tiger mating with the zebra. I heard the zebra disagrees, though. ;-)

Hallo alle!

Am 16.10.2010 fand meine Vernissage im Unterhammer (Unterhammer 1-3, 67705 Trippstadt, in der Nähe von Kaiserslautern) statt. Die damit eröffnete Ausstellung trägt den Titel "Otherworlds". Gezeigt werden überwiegend neuere meiner Gemälde (Acryl auf Leinwand) und einige älterer Werke (Schaffensperioden 1997-2000 und 2006).

Die Bilder werden bis zum 16.01.2011 im Unterhammer zu sehen sein. Der Eintritt ist frei.
Öffnungszeiten: Mittwoch-Sonntag, 12.00 - 18.00 Uhr.

On October 16, my vernissage took place at the Unterhammer (Unterhammer 1-3, 67705 Trippstadt, near Kaiserslautern). It opened an exhibition titled "Otherworlds" presenting more recent paintings (acrylic on canvas) as well as older works (creation periods 1997-2000 and 2006).

The paintings will be on display at the Unterhammer until January, 16, 2011. The entrance is free.
Opening hours: Wednesday-Sunday, 12.00 - 18.00.

Hi all!

I'm very happy to announce that the book for which I wrote my horror thriller "Der Fluch und Niedergang des Hauses Voltar: Die Abessinischen Greuel" (The Curse and Fall of the House of Voltar: The Abyssinian Atrocities) has now been published.

Casus Belli is an anthology released by writer Torsten Scheib and published by Eloy Edictions. The book is 422 pages strong and contains 25 short novels by 25 writers. Each story takes place during one of the two world wars and is written in German language.

Hallo alle!

Am 16.10.2010, ab 17:00 Uhr, findet meine nächste Vernissage im Café Unterhammer statt.
Die Ausstellung trägt den Titel "Otherworlds". Gezeigt werden neuere meiner Gemälde (Acryl auf Leinwand) und älterer Werke (Schaffensperioden 1997-2000 und 2006).

Die Bilder werden bis 16.01.2011 im Unterhammer zu sehen sein. Der Eintritt ist frei.

Öffnungszeiten:
Mittwoch-Sonntag, 12.00 - 18.00 Uhr

Hi all!

On October 16, 2010, starting 17:00, my next vernissage will take place at the Café Unterhammer.
The exhibition is titled "Otherworlds". Presented will be more recent paintings (acrylic on canvas) as well as older works (creation periods 1997-2000 and 2006).

The paintings will be on display at the Unterhammer until January, 16, 2011. The entrance is free.

Photos from the poetry slam organized by the cultural association Kultur.Kollektiv e.V., on September 7, 2010, at the pub Benderhof (Kaiserslautern) are now online.

Once again, it has been a great evening featuring a lot of entertaining as well as touching texts.
Congrats to Tabea Reinelt, who won the contest yet another time by convincing the voting audience with her good texts and professional performance!
