Edwin Holzmann, or "Old
Eddie" as he's called in the village, is an odd hermit from
whom parents warn their kids. Since none of the villagers
ever seeked his company and nobody knows what he's doing
all day but everybody loves to speculate, there are a lot
of rumors about the eccentric man who lives in a small hut
deep in the woods.
Ruediger Schuster has long
been an adored icon of the European Gothic Scene. Starting
out as a musician and member in goth bands he made the transition
to acting with the German vampire epos Children Of The Night
in which he starred in a leading role and gave a remarkable
and rememberable performance as the dangerously psychotic,
cocaine-loving vampire leader Thanos.
Using his unique, darkish and somewhat intimidating look
along with his amazing talent he quickly advanced from goth
star to independent horror film star and proceeded to act
in the sequel Children
Of The Night 2 and Bloodbound.
His overwhelming presence and fondness of slightly to wildly
insane characters made Ruediger Schuster predestined to
be cast in the role of Edwin Holzman - a weird hermit with
a mission - in Evil Knights. Once more he gave a stunning
performance and the amazing scene where Schuster's piercing
stare meets Tony Caulfield's big doe eyes is a truly priceless
cinematic moment.
Lately, Ruediger Schuster has starred in Blood
Angel 2, the sequel to the legendary cult classic I
Spit On Your Grave.
Despite his awe-inducing physical presence and intimidating
look Ruediger Schuster is also a benign comedian and working
with him hilariously funny.
