Blood Angel 2 - The New Rage: THE STORY
Mary Jennifer Selby (Akasha Jones) wants to go on a short
trip. On her way to the rented cottage she's being captured by a group of men,
lead by the brutal Burt (Rüdiger Schuster), and raped several times.
Tony (Barry More), who is not fully accepted by Burt's friends, is given the assignment
to get rid of Mary. Tony walks back to the scene of the crime, but can't get himself
to kill the young woman.
Mary goes to the police, which refuses to help
her. Jonas Brackett (Lenny Brasso), a suspended cop, has pity on Mary, yet isn't
allowed to officially intervene.
Mary drowns in depression and self-doubts.
Tormented by nightmares Mary begins to change...
Nine months later Mary,
who has changed her outfit, coincidentally encounters Tony. She follows him. In
a backyard Mary is able to get hold of Tony and kills him with a machete.
This is the start of Mary's bloody retaliation campaign against Burt and
his friends. Applying raw violence, Mary slashes her way through her torturers
until she gets to confront Burt, the leader, face to face.
But the police
officer Brackett has not forgotten the ''Mary Selby'' case and is on the Blood
Angel's track.

How It All Began
Director and producer Ingo
Trendelbernd of Lee/Leroc
Filmworkshop wanted to prove, after the shoot of Evil
Knights (directed by Gerd
Richter), that it's also possible to make a good movie with little money and
little time.
His way to face this challenge was shooting sort of a remake
of the 70s sexploiter become legendary cult classic I
Spit On Your Grave.
'Blood Angel 2' was shot on a 3(!)-digit budget
and completed in astonishing nine days. The quality of the movie did not suffer
under these circumstances - to the contrary: Ingo Trendelbernd's fast and purposeful
process of work gave the movie itself the right dynamics and pace.
About The Movie
'Blood Angel2'
is loosely based on the plot of the original. Yet ''BA2'' also brings fresh ideas
to the sub-genre of ''rape & revenge thrillers''.
The many stunning action
scenes and gore effects offer previously unseen images even to the connaisseurs
and fans of the genre. All of Mary's tormentors die individual, creative deaths,
from the severing of limbs and sexual organs to being ripped apart by grenades.
'Blood Angel' was developed and written by screenwriter Randy Silker within
two weeks. The ideas of the producer and the FX artist Ralf
Burmester (Evil Knights, Death:
Download) put the finishing touches to the story.
A great cast of
excellent actors made sure that the acting in the movie is top notch, as well.
Newcomer Akasha Jones, who was discovered by Ingo Trendelbernd on the set of Ulli
Fleischer's Bloodbound,
proved her great talent and skills in 'Blood Angel 2'.
"As she entered
the door, I new she's the ideal cast for 'BA2'. A mix between Catherine Zeta Jones
and Lucy Liu", says Trendelbernd.
And indeed did Akasha Jones profess
to be an excellent choice. She embodies the role of Mary Jennifer Selby with amazing
intensity and convinces in every second of the movie as a victim transforming
into a merciless retaliator.
Mary's antagonist Burt is not an unknown
anymore. Ruediger Schuster
(Evil Knights, Children
Of The Night 1 & 2) excels in the role of the brutal Burt and portrays
the personality of the character as a mix of lunatic sadism and raw violence.
Very diffently from in front of the camera, things look behind it. The actors
as well as the crew members got along perfectly. In between the shoots of very
intense scenes, incl. a shocking rape sequence, people laughed and poked fun a
lot on the set, in spite of all.
As a 'making of' on the upcoming DVD
will show: in the end it's all ''just'' a movie after all.
